This policy covers cookies, similar browser storage, website statistics and optional external videos on krieen.com. The website is operated by Krieen Sustainable Communication S.L. What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website in your browser. Local storage and similar technologies can also remember information or support a service. Whether a technology requires consent depends on what it does, not just whether it is called a cookie.

Ordinary browsing and the contact form

The public site's own code does not set advertising cookies or load social-sharing or comment-tracking widgets. You can browse the site and contact us without accepting analytics. Our contact form stores a security identifier on the server to limit repeated submissions; it does not put that identifier in a browser cookie.

The staff administration area uses authentication and related storage when staff sign in. These are needed for the requested administration service and are separate from ordinary public browsing. Hosting security measures may also use strictly necessary technical storage to protect a request.

Website statistics

Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., measures visits and contact-form activity only after you choose "Accept" in the banner or "Accept analytics" in the settings below. Until then, and if you reject analytics, we do not load its browser script or send the optional contact-form analytics events. The contact form itself still works.

Vercel states that the service does not use analytics cookies and discards its request-derived visitor session after 24 hours. Aggregate reports have a separate retention period. Our custom events contain fixed labels and page paths, not the names, email addresses, phone numbers or messages entered in the form. We remove query strings and fragments from the page URL sent to analytics.

We use the local-storage entry krieen:analytics-consent:v1 to remember acceptance or rejection for 180 days. It contains the choice, its date, its expiry and the notice version, without a visitor identifier. We do not renew the period just because you revisit. This storage is necessary to remember your privacy choice. After expiry we ask again before restarting analytics. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies only during the current page visit.

Use Analytics settings below to change your choice, including withdrawing consent. The footer's "Privacy settings" link opens the same controls. Optional YouTube videos

The YouTube player is blocked until you choose to load it. Before loading it, you can read the explanation next to the video or leave it unloaded and continue using the website. Preview images are delivered through our website's image service, rather than loading the player.

Choosing "Load YouTube video" connects your browser to Google's YouTube service. Google receives your IP address and technical information and can process playback activity. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player on youtube-nocookie.com. This limits some uses of viewing activity but does not mean Google receives no data or that no browser storage can be used.

Google may use cookies or local storage for playback, preferences, security and measurement. We observed the following local-storage entries on youtube-nocookie.com after activating a player in a fresh Chrome Incognito session. They were not present before activation:

• yt-player-bandwidth: playback connection and bandwidth information, with a 30-day expiry in the stored record.
• ytidb::LAST_RESULT_ENTRY_KEY: a record of whether the player's database operation succeeded, with a 30-day expiry in the stored record.
• yt-icons-last-purged: a timestamp used for the player's icon-cache maintenance, with no expiry attached to the observed value.

Local storage is not necessarily removed when you close a normal browser tab. Google manages these entries and may refresh or change them. Cookies and other entries also depend on browser restrictions, your Google settings and whether you open YouTube itself. For example, Google's published inventory describes the session cookie YSC for security and __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN, lasting six months, for feature rollout and measurement. These examples are not a claim that every visitor receives the same cookies. Google's cookie information gives its current identifiers, purposes and lifetimes, and its privacy policy explains recipients, international processing and choices.

Your choice applies to that player while it is loaded. We do not save a site-wide YouTube permission. To stop further activity from the embedded player, use "Remove YouTube player" below the video or leave the page. This does not undo data already sent to Google or remove storage Google has already set. You can clear that storage through your browser and use Google's privacy controls for data held by Google.

External links and locally hosted videos

Links to LinkedIn, YouTube and other external sites open those services, where their own notices apply. The links do not load social-network widgets on our pages. Videos served directly by our hosting provider do not load a YouTube player.

Your choices

Continuing to browse, scrolling or acknowledging our privacy notice does not count as consent to analytics or external media. Analytics and YouTube are separate choices: accepting analytics does not load videos, and loading a video does not enable our analytics. You can leave each YouTube player unloaded and use Analytics settings to reject analytics. You can also change your browser settings to block or clear cookies and website data. Blocking some storage may affect an external player or staff sign-in; it does not prevent you from reading our public pages.
