World MS Day: How art can transform a diagnosis into a message of hope

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often invisible autoimmune disease that affects nearly 2.9 million people worldwide. With symptoms that vary widely from person to person, MS is often called “the disease of a thousand faces”.

This World MS Day, we are proud to share a powerful story that reflects the resilience and creativity of the MS community. Commissioned by Neuraxpharm alongside FEMM (Madrid Multiple Sclerosis Foundation), the campaign presents Amaya, a remarkable woman who has transformed her experience of MS into a message of hope.

We have been in charge of creating the global campaign, with a moving patient testimony as the centerpiece to create awareness. The campaign will be implemented on a European level in Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Ireland among other countries.

Meet Amaya, an inspiring woman who has found her own way of coping with her multiple sclerosis diagnosis. In “the art of Moving onwards”, Amaya shares how the art of coloring mandalas is more than just a creative outlet: it has become a way to manage her most severe symptoms, and find focus and peace. As part of the project, we created a custom mandala for Amaya. Inspired by her own story, we represent a beautiful landscape and sunrise as a symbol of comfort, optimism and hope.
